Be Open to the Positive Possibilities

When you are presented with an opportunity, what do you do?  If you are like so most people, you immediately focus on the negative, asking yourself, "What if this doesn't work? What if I fail? What if the outcome is bad?"  That's what my Aunt Barbara did when, back in 1957, she was presented with the opportunity to purchase Disney stock.  Rather than focus on the possibility of a positive outcome, my aunt chose to let her fear, get in the way.  If she had taken the opportunity to purchase that Disney stock, her life and the lives of her husband and children would have been remarkably different.

So I encourage you to change your mindset to one of positivity.  When you consider the possibilities, focus on positive outcomes rather than negative ones.  Your mind is so powerful that whatever you focus on is what you create.  As the great Zig Ziglar said, "If you can dream it, you can achieve it."

Harness Your Resources 

This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of every list building, lead capture, or autoresponder system that's available, but rather a short list of the best tools that a newbie can use to begin building his or her business.  I encourage anyone just starting out to do your due diligence and decide what will work best you.  Each of the resources outlined above offers training and tutorials and there are a variety of video reviews available on the Internet to help you decide which products are right for you.

If you are on a tight budget, there are some free tools that you may find useful as well.  Although free resources like those available on Weebly.com and Wix.com don't come with all the bells and whistles that paid tools have, they do offer great resources to create lead capture pages, landing pages and websites.
